Mallin provides detailed engineering for all aspects of the shore stations associated with subsea telecommunications systems. Typically, suppliers of subsea telecommunications systems do not provide the buildings and associated infrastructure required to accommodate the network terminal equipment - that is the Owner's responsibility. Mallin can assist owners with determining the space, power and cooling requirements and designing the shore station buildings to meet the system's requirements, as well as offer guidance on provision for future expansion.
Typically Mallin prepares detailed functional specifications for the building, and then assemble a team of suitably qualified local design engineers to develop the detailed designs in accordance with local codes.
Shore stations typically have demanding standards for reliability and redundancy, as well as very tight construction schedules. We have the skills and experience to meet these challenging requirements.
